Registrations are now open for the Wilderness Society’s third annual WildEndurance event to be held over the weekend of 1-2 May, 2010.
WildEndurance is a 100km team challenge that gives teams of 4 or 6 people the opportunity to test their mental and physical stamina along with their team building skills. There is a strict 48 hour time limit with regular checkpoints where teams meet up with their support crews. Teams of four complete the whole 100km together and teams of six divide into two relay groups each travelling 50km.
WildEndurance takes place in the iconic Blue Mountains World Heritage wilderness with stunning views of the Three Sisters, Mount Solitary and the Jamison Valley.
Teams compete for the glory and many great prizes, including a World Expeditions travel voucher. Teams will have a fundraising target, and all proceeds go to the Wilderness Society’s campaigns to protect our climate, water supplies and wonderful wild places.
WildEndurance is tough yet exhilarating. With training any reasonably fit and healthy person can meet the challenge.
